grass Brachiaria ? from Hooghly 27/10/12 sk2

Sir,

Recorded this grass on the edge of agri-land, growing inside very narrow and shallow irrigating channel.

Species : Brachiaria mutica (Forssk.) Stapf ?
H & H : trailing and ascending, ascending part is about 5 feet; leaves more than 20 cm in length x 2 cm wide, hairy on both sides; raceme 11 cm or less
Date : 26/10/12, 10.10 a.m.
Place : Hooghly

Yes, it is Brachiaria mutica - Para grass/Buffalo grass.
