Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- Wild

Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb- large bristly-haired shrub

Height/Length- 2.5-7.0meters

Stem- Stems erect, branched, slightly lignified.

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- Leaves broadly lanceolate 8-10cm, with 3-5 strong equal parallel veins, bristled-haired below, petiolate.

Inflorescence Type/ Size- Terminal cluster of bright pinkish – mauve flowers.

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- Flowers each 5cm across [approx]; calyx densely feathery-haired, with long lanceolate lobes; petals-5, ovate; stamens 5 long curved, 5 short.

Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds berry like splitting irregularly.
