Fruits & Vegetables Week: Raphanus sativus, the Radish

Raphanus sativus, the radish, both leaves and leaves are consumed as vegetable, as salad and garnishing. Young pods also cooked as vegetable. A number of cultivars are known being rounded or elongate in shape, and white or reddish in colour.
