Aquatic floating herb 20-30 cm dia; leaves 15-25 cm, linear, brownish green; flowers many on slender scapes 15-20 cm. Found in fresh water stream near Malvan, south Konkan in Nov.

It is possibly Blyxa octandra, an aquatic plant known to occur in the Konkan region. Could you please share clear photos of the leaves and its natural habitat?
