Shrub

It was found growing in pathways adjoining hillocks and boulders.

It has a pretty purple colored inflorescence, each flower shows papilionaceous corolla. 

IISER TVM campus adjoining Agasthyamalai biosphere reserve.

I think it is more closer to images at Desmodium heterocarpon (L.) DC. rather than Uraria rufescens (DC.) Schindl.
