Yes Diospyros kaki
There are two common cultivars: this one one with somewhat oblong fruits known as Hachiya, is very astringent if eaten unripe
The other with depressed globose fruits is known as Fuyu, not as astringent.

Once I ate this fruit ..that time it was unripe..it produce lather and even my tongue could not move properly....
Even caused stomach pain later...

Yes, it should not be eaten unripe.
