ID please of mushroom

: July 17, 2010 at 12.16pm IST
Location Place : Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary, Alibag, Maharashtra
Altitude : about 170 m (above mean sea level)
GPS :  roughly 18°20'16.22"N, 73° 1'22.45"E

Habitat : wild, on living wood
Type : moist deciduous forest

Habit
: mushroom
Height : not more than 12 mm

... found growing on undersides of branches

Dear Dinesh Ji,

The mushroom in the photos is another genus of “Jelly Mushroom: from the order Tremellales and family Tremellaceae Scientifically known as Tremella fuciformis Berk. (Synonym: Nakaiomyces nipponicus Kobayasi).This mushroom is known to have high medicinal values.

Dineshji,
the world of fungi is fascinating. a few months ago i watched a film on TV about slime mold, amazing. If you ever can see one do not miss it. under youtube there are some clips. here is one

A great suggestion Dinesh ji , Hopefully you can get a glimpse of slime moulds with your watchful pair of eyes !! I am quite sure about it.
