Location: near Vannappuram, Thodupuzha, Idukki Dist., Kerala PIN:685607

Altitude: 1500fsl

Flower date: 17JAN2023, 05.20pm

Habitat: wild moisture, river sandy

Plant habit: small shrub obliquely, branches, hard cylindrical white spotted stem 01.5cm base diameter, black old and purple young stem, perennial

Height: 03.5 feet

Leaves: alternate, ovate, serrated margins simple, size:03×2cm

Flower: axillary fringed inflorescence, diameter:07mm, purple into yellow, non fragrant

Fruit:

Appears like Pluchea but the inflorescence is axillary.

Thank you very much for ID my plant.  If it is dioecious, then resembles to Homonoia retusa, only number of leaf nerves having difference.  Locals said that it is widely collected as a substitute for R. aquatica.  With kind regards, Sam.

I think it is Homonia retusa although leaf apex is a little unusual.
