Hello friends

Saw 2 different types of Commelina in the Aarey forest, Mumbai, MH in September 2019.
One was pinkish in colour and one was blue in colour, both growing quite close to each other.

Requested to please provide ID.

Thanks and regards
Alka Khare

Thanks Rakesh ji for the ID.

The 2 dark blue flowers may be of some other species, however they were found next to each other.

Thanks and regards

Dear Alka ji,

Indeed, these are two different Commelinas.
Perhaps I can give ID based on the flower colour: blue flowered appears to be Commelina maculata and lilac or mauve can be Commelina paludosa.

sincerely,
Mayur
