Respected members,
Here's one more Utricularia sp. addition to efi site.
Utricularia scandens Benj.
Common Name - Climbing Bladderwort
Family - Lentibulariaceae
U. scandens is a tiny yellow flowered bladderwort which is often not easy to find in field because of its really small yellow flower however once spotted it can be easily identified based on its peculiar climbing habit and curling stem on small grasses. Another easy character to identify is looking for its bifid apex of lower calyx.
Habitat - Marshy soil along paddy fields growing with other Utricularia spp., Drosera burmannii and Eriocaulon sp.
Photographed near Jarakabande Kaval, Bengaluru Outskirts, Karnataka
In early December 2021
P. S. - Will try to add more in-situ habit images next week.
With best regards
