Good photograph and nice work.

I am little confused with name neelathamara. Neela means blue, growing this plant in some regions having violet leaves (green leaves here), so called neelathamara?  Exactly the plant is growing on land, not in water, so it may be nilathamara? Here 'nilam' means land.  Can be insert this name also?

Both Malayalam name and spelling are correct.

It has to be nilathaamara just the way you pointed out ... meaning land or ground.

My mistake !!!

So I am going with നിലത്താമര nilthaamara, meaning "ground lotus".
