Dear friends,
This one is all over the place... there is another one like this but the
leaves are different.. will post that when I catch it in bloom..

Habitat wild
Location Kalatope, Chamba
Altitude 2100 mts
habit herb
Height 18-20 inches

Not Taraxacum which has single flower on a scape. This should be a species of Crepis. Alok ji, exact flower size should help in identification.

Thanks sir,
I can give you all details except flower dia right now, since the sun
did not shine and the flower did not open.... but the flower size is
almost the same as the dandelion (which is the next id)... I think...

Just give me the diameter of head, not length, and also if there are some fruits, each will have three portions: lower thicker body, narrowed neck and hairy crown. Give me length of each if possible.

Diameter of the head is 1 inch and no fruits visible as yet...

I would go with Crepis foetida

Launaea won't have such leaves.
