Dear Friends,
This one from Mizoram, Aizawl (November 2008). Looks like some sp. of Flemingia and found its appearance   different from Flemingia strobilifera which we normally see in Sahyadri ranges.ID pl..

best wishes

Hi, Prashant ji & Nayan ji.
While going through Ranjini's post on Desmodium pulchellum (L.) Benth. at http://groups.google.co.in/group/indiantreepix/browse_thread/thread/beb9a6963650f922#,

I found a match for this post along with in links for  Phyllodium pulchellum (L.) Desv. syn. Desmodium pulchellum (L.) Benth. as below:
Pl. confirm or otherwise.

I agree with Garg ji on this. This plant should be Phyllodium
pulchellum (Syn: Desmodium pulchellum)
One can see a trifoliate leaf in Prashant's first picture. Flemingia
chappar has simple leaves.
Best wishes

Just saw this plant yesterday in Kol Bot Garden ... long "flowering
stalk" end with hair like structure...
Local gardeners called it "Jatayu".... but they also told me it was
called Desmodium...
