Dear Friends,

Came across this herb at CBD hills. The flower heads were of Green colour.

CBD Belapur Hill (Navi Mumbai), 300 ft

Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type-

 

Wild    

Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb- 

 

Herb  (with hairy stem )

Height/Length-

 

Approx  20 to 25 cm

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size-

 

 Alternate,   (upper leaves almost sessile),  base  tapering into petiole, petiole: 8 to 10mm, toothed margin,  elliptic, 1.5 to 2.5cm, hairy

Inflorescence Type/ Size-

 

Heads in corymbose panicles

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts-

 

8 to 15mm,  Green 

Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds-

Blumea species. These look like floral galls due to infestation.
