Request id/confirmation of the the attached flowers found in an open grassy patch in Yevoor, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai:
 
#1060988 - Is this Sphaeranthus indicus?
#1060976 - Some kind of Blepharis sps.? Growing just a couple of inches of the ground.

2.East Indian Globe Thistle [Sphaeranthus indicus].

Hi Kiran.
Nice pictures. Sorry to suggest one thing.
Please try to send only one species/plant per each email as Mr Garg is always insisting because it is useful in linking.
More number of mails don't matter.
As after some months if one wants to search a particular plant and the name is typed in the search window only those mails with that plant should open and it facilitates good search.

Hill Blepharis flower looks different and is smaller than this one at Yevoor thus my doubt! In fact, few flowers of Hill Blepharis were also seen in the same patch.

Hi Kiran, i also came across same flowers in most of parts of Mumbai Wildlife Region. Phansad, Tungareshwar, Yeoor or SGNP.....all across.
