Note- Corky bark, Heart-shaped leaves

Dear Ms Veach,

I believe one can see the leaves sprouting directly from the bark, but I could be wrong. It's been one and a half years since the survey and the photograph were taken, so the memory is a bit foggy.

Is there a reason to think that these are two different plants?

Hi Alok,

well, to me the bark looks like Terminalia elliptica, and I'm not at all sure those leaves are growing out of the trunk. My guess is they belong to a creeper.
