Attaching two images of Camellia sinensis ( Tea  ). Most of you must have seen a tea plant but must not have seen it's flowers . In the images you can see flowers of tea.
I came to know how tea plantation came to India from Chapters on The History of Botany in India by I H Burkill ( These were sent to me by D C S Raju ). I came to know that Maj Gen Francis Jenkins was the man who with the support of many botanists started tea plantation and Cinchona plantation in India. Incidentally the famous Jenkins School of Cooch Behar town is in honour of this gentleman.
