Dear Dinesh,
The two species seem to be very confusing. But the fruit images of your plant look different from the POWO illustration of Crotalaria calycina

Thanks Tabish.
It looks like I missed a few posts that were discussing IDs of my Crotalaria photos. :)
I will check all related posts and revise my notes accordingly.
Thanks Garg ji, Saroj ji.
Regards.

Dear Saroj,
For me there is still no clarity on what Dinesh's plant is.

I request members to compare Crotalaria mysorensis and Crotalaria calcyna
images in Net.

Thank you.

Three four hairy species are quite confusing and we have to follow the following keys from Flora of Peninsular India as below:
36 Leaves elliptic lanceolate or oblong, more than twice as long as broad
38 Stipules prominent ovate lanceolate or lanceolate
    39 Stem with spreading hairs
    41 Pods slightly exserted, 15-20 seeded   .... C.hirta
    41 Pods much exserted , 20-35 seeds
42 Leaves villous beneath; bracts often 3 lobed; pods subsessile  ..... C.mysorensis
42 Leaves appressed pubescent beneath; bracts simple; pods shortly stalked .... C.ferruginea
38 Stipules minute or 0.
43 Pods as long as or shorter than calyx
44 Calyx to 0.8 cm long; upper two lobes connate except at tip; pods globose ... C.linifolia
44 Calyx to 2.5 cm long; lobes connate at base only; pods oblong .... C. calycina

We have to re-examine all our observations, based on these keys.

In view of these keys, I think Dinesh ji's posted plant may be C.calycina

The pods in Dinesh's plants are without any calyx covering:
Pods of Crotalaria caylcina are supposed to be "oblong, black when ripe, 2.5 x 0.8 cm, hairless, equal to calyx", according to An Excursion Flora of Central Tamilnadu. So, it doesn't look like it will be C. calycina.

In Dinesh's plant at Sajjangad, the calyx looks smaller than that in some other images of Crotalaria calycina

Not C.mysorensis as no stipules are seen.

I was interpreting the marked objects as stipules. Maybe not.

I do not see such things in the other photograph.
May be it is a new emerging branch.
