Sending 5 photos of Aganosma heynei( Spreng.)I.M.Turner,Fam-Apocynaceae, a heavy creeper called Malati,Gandhamalati in Odiya,photo -23/06/2020,Bhubaneswar,Odisha, naturally distributed in Barauni hill,khurda,Bhubaneswar,Udaigiri,Dasapalla,Koraput,Angul,,Ganjam all places of Odisha( ref- TheFlora of Orissa,Saxena,Brahmam). Fresh Malati flowers diffusing divine fragrance are traditionally associated with Puri ShreeJagannath. ,offered to deities Shree Balabhadra,Mata Subhadra,Shree Jagannath& Shree Sudarsan Chakra as known much loved by them.Dried flowers are offered in sacred month of Kartik( Oct/Nov.) to the deities. Malati is literally mentioned in Shree Geetagovinda by famous Odiya poet Shree Jayadeva in 12 th Century AD. relating to Lord ShreeKrishna.,also known with some medicinal properties to treat kapha,eye disorder,toe infection,regards,
