Would love to know the name of this jungle tree. I have been seeing
this species for the last three decades - ever since I started my
walks in the forests near Mhow

Location - The Hill of Janapao (The origin of the river Chambal)
Tehsil: Mhow
District: Indore
State: Madhya Pradesh

The fruits look like beans or extremely thin drumsticks

Many thanks Dungriyalji. The names of these trees had always been a puzzle for me. It is great to get to know  you through this excellent forum.

Dear all,

'Wrightia tinctoria' is called 'Goda Indrajav' 'गोडा इंद्रजव' in Marathi.
