Hi,
Affirmative. This is Jyotismati [Celastrus paniculatus]. Please check the archives of this group for my previous photographs of this. Am sending a few photographs taken at my farm on the 10th of October showing Jyotismati fruiting and Spatholobus parviflora / Butea parviflora [Palas-vel] coming into buds. Flowering of Palas-vel is currently in full spate.
                          With regards,
                            Neil Soares.

In Chhotanagpur this is supposed to be highly medicinal. Oil from seeds are used against Rheumatic pains and numerous other disorders.
