Parthenocissus inserta (A.Kern.) Fritsch

Syn: P. vitacea (Knerr.) Hitchc.

A scrambling climber, usually spreading over trees and walls (closely clinging in P. quinquifolia due to adhesive discs at tips of 6 or more branched tendrils) due to pointed tips of less than 6-branched tendrils usually lacking adhesive tips, leaves lustrous (vs opaque), inflorescence dichotomously branched without central axis (vs infl with central axis with diverging branches), berries 8-12 mm in diam. (vs 5-8 mm diam).
