Kantham koluthu?  Kantham means magnet and koluthu means hook, ie. magnetic hook!! It is not appropriate as a plant name.  The other one is correct.

I have not coined it.
The name is on a Malayalam Wikipedia page related to Zanthoxylum ovalifolium Wight, very obviously created by some native or natives.
Please do not analyze the name by its literal meaning. There may be some reason for the plant to have got that name.
Just in case, you believe there is a chance of the name being wrong, I request you to please put a query in a separate post. Hopefully we will get to know whether the name is indeed wrong.
