This bird is found between 1500 to 3500  altitude... Help me to identify the fruit on which the bird is feeding on

The bird perhaps is Larger Spotted Nutcracker (Nucifraga multipunctata ). 
According to Bates it feeds mainly on pine cones ( Altitude 7000-11000 feet)
Could the fruit be a fragment of a small cone ?

It is a great photo of Nucifraga multipunctata feeding.
Wish you would post it on eBird - Discover a new world of birding... as I do not think there is any photo of this quality of the bird feeding on that site.
