Biosphere Reserve – Bandipur , Gopala Swamy Temple – Reserve

Location- Place, Altitude, GPS- --------------- Bandipur , Gopala
Swamy Temple – Reseve
Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type----------- Wild
Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb- ----Herb
Height/Length- -----------------Ground level
Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size—------lengthy sword like shape
Inflorescence Type/ Size-
Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- -------------As seen in the picture
Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds-

  It is a Cucurma sp. possibly C.pseudomontana [Hill Tumeric]

Hi Tanay,
  Sending you my photographs of Hill Tumeric [Cucurma pseudomontana]. They were all taken on my property over the last few years. Flowering has not yet commenced in and around Bombay this year. It generally occurs from towards the end of June till September.

Very nice picture of the flower Thiru ji
In fact this is an inflorescence having flowers, bracts etc.Each part is beautiful to the eyes.
