Conocarpus latifolius) is commonly known as: axle-wood tree, button tree, ghatti tree • Bengali: chakwa, dhaoya • Gujarati: ધવ dhav, ધાવડો dhavado • Hindi: धौरा dhaura • Kannada: ದಿಣ್ಡಿಗ dindiga • Malayalam: കൊരട്ടിക്കാഞ്ഞിരം korattikkaanjiram, മഴുക്കാഞ്ഞിരം mazhukkaanjiram, ഞാമ njaama, വെക്കാലി vekkaali, വെള്ള നവ vella nava • Marathi: धावडा dhavada • Oriya: dohu, dhavada • Sanskrit: धवः dhavaha, धुरंधर dhurandhara, इन्द्रवृक्ष indravruksha, शकटाय shakataaya • Sinhalese: dawu • Tamil: நமை namai, வெள்ளைநாகை vellainakai, வெட்காலி vet-kali • Telugu: చిరిమాను chirimanu

Pls look at foto ..36 showing branched peduncles which is a key
