Synonyms: Asclepias tunicata, Cynanchum pauciflorum, Periploca tunicata
sigh-NAN-chum -- from the Greek kyon (dog) and ancho (to strangle)
too-nih-KAY-tum -- coated
commonly known as: coated swallow-wort, few-flowered cynanchum • Bengali: chagul-pati • Marathi: पांचाली panchali • Sinhalese: kang-koombala
Native to: India, Sri Lanka, s-e Asia

Cynanchum tunicatum (Retz.) Alston in Trimen, Hand-Book Fl. Ceylon vi.
Suppl., 194 (1931)
Syn: Periploca tunicata Retz. Observ. Bot. (Retzius) ii. 15.
tunicata/tunicatum means like a tunic or skirt, can be interpreted as
coat though though more of an inner garment :p.
