The wasp in the photograph is Vespa tropica belonging to family
Vespidae.

Yes, the correct name of the wasp is Vespa tropica, Vespidae family. I have witnessed these wasps many times feeding alone. Probably a solitary wasp.

Yes, these live together in a nest colony. Never witnessed them feeding on nectar together.
