I assume this was cultivated in Tahoe? Polygonatum biflorum is not native out there. I would guess this is probably P. X hybridum which is a hybrid between P. odoratum and P. multiflorum found in Europe where the two co-occur. Forms of it are widely cultivated, and most forms are usually sterile.
