Pl help with the ID of this groundcover herb clicked by my son from Hawaii on January 3,2023.

For me it looks like a species of Hemigraphis.

At the outset I remembered the Hemigraphis which I grew in Chennai  institutional garden and suggested the ID.

Could be a H.alternata  variety.  I have not checked its new name.

Thanks Saroj ji for confirming the ID .   Hemigraphis .alternata is  now the synonym. Strobilanthes alternata (Burm.fil.) Moylan ex J.R.I.Wood  is the updated name .
