Uploading photographs of Ocimum gratissimum from Delhi to have clearer representation of Ocimum in our databases. Plant is shrubby, leaves longer up to 12 cm long, tomentose, finely crenate, narrowed at both ends; inflorescence compact; calyx prominently veined; corolla pubescent and glandular, slightly longer  than calyx; most prominent feature is approximate anterior teeth, free portion very short. In other species of genus the anterior teeth are quite distinct and very long.
