Malvaceae Week: Pachira aquatica from California

Common names: Guiana-chestnutMalabar-chestnutprovision-treesabanutwater-chestnutwild cocoa, money tree

This interesting plant I had photographed from a store in California in Christmas days and forgotten about it till Satish ji uploaded photographs from a full grown tree. Native of America, Brazil and Mexica, I wonder the source for name Malabar-chestnut.

... looks like Gurcharan ji is digging his plant photos from some akshaya-patra (legendary container from which contents never exhaust).

Nice to see so many saplings some of which will ultimately grow to full bloomed beautiful big trees on earth.
