A bee-utiful shot, Garg-ji, but it is not a bee (O. Hymenoptera) but rather a fly (O. Diptera).
I would hazard a guess at a robber fly. We have them here in Australia. I have no doubt they gain a measure of protection by looking like an insect with a sting.
