These flowers were smaller in size, and in two colors.

So I thought of L. thorellii.

This may be Lagerstroemia floribunda Jack as per comparative images at Lagerstroemia‎

We had detailed discussions at August2015sk03/03 -- Lagerstroemia cultivar2 and Lagerstroemia duperreana Pierre from Bangalore-GS12012020-1

Difference between the two close species are as below:

Lagerstroemia duperreana Pierre ex Gagnep. (syn: Lagerstroemia thorelii Gagnep.)

SPOT-CHARACTERS. — Bark light brown, flaking; leaves, inflorescences, ovaries, capsules all glabrous; pseudopedicel long, 6-12 mm long; calyx lobes conspicuous densely whitish hairy in upper part within.
DISTRIBUTION. — Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam.

Lagerstroemia floribunda Jack

SPOT-CHARACTERS. — Bark light brown, flaking; inflorescences short-hairy rust coloured; calyx tube c. 12-ridged; ovary densely hairy; capsules hairy, especially at apex.

DISTRIBUTION. — Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Peninsular Malaysia.

Hi, Shrikant ji,

All our observations in efloraofindia turned out to be Lagerstroemia floribunda Jack only.

So does not have images of Lagerstroemia duperreana Pierre ex Gagnep. (syn: Lagerstroemia thorelii Gagnep.)-> in this species leaves, inflorescences, ovaries, capsules are all glabrous, which is not the case in our postings.
