I know that Ruta graveolens has 4-5 locules in fruits. How many locules in R. chalepsnsis. Is it three?
So, fruits with three locules are Ruta chalepsnsis and more than that is Ruta graveolens.
Advance Thanks and Best Regards

I had finally got the description of both species. Ruta graveolens: petals margin entire, fruit tip is blunted and young vegetative parts has glandular multicellular trichome. Ruta chalepensis has fringed petals, upwardly sharp fruits ends and glabraous leaves. Is anyone have seen or know about Ruta graveolens found anywhere in India, If so pleae reply.
With Advance Thanks

Thanks Kannan ji, for the useful information.
Even I couldn't find a reference (online) that describes both the species. Where did you find the key?
I have so far seen only plants with fringed petals i.e. Ruta chalepensis and yet to see the other species.
