At the peak of flowering.Looks like a cloud from a distance!
I've been told the wood is used to make the famous Chennapatna
toys.Very basic & attractive colours to these toys.They are appealing
to children & adults alike & i know for sure that placed along with
'modern' toys, little children make a beeline for these!!

The leaves of IMG_7917-ph2.jpg seems to be those of  Careya arboreya of Lecythridaceae.
 Please verify.

7917-ph2 & 7918-ph2 are pictures of Careya arborea leaves.I am posting
C. arborea pics tomorrow & committed this glitch unwittingly.Thank you
