Negative for Chilarvel.  Could be an another species of Acacia.   Send the closeups of the flowers and foliage for proper ID..

Subabul ie Leucaena leucocephala will not have thorns whereas Acacias have thorns of varying sizes

Madam and Sir,

I thought i knew this plant and tried to ID it. But now i find two more similar looking trees that can be confusing.

• The images found in google search show - immature heads of Acacia torta (Roxb.) Craib are maroon (purple?). Moreover, Acacia torta (Roxb.) Craib has prickles.
• Though FoP informs that Acacia leucophloea (Roxb.) Willd. may not have spines the illustration found in the same site shows paired spines - http://www.efloras.org/object_page.aspx?object_id=115325&flora_id=5.
• According to Flora of British India, Acacia leucophloea Willd. has 1/4th to 1 in. spines and heads are yellow.

.I fail to find any prickle or spine in the images in this thread. But, at the same time, i am not sure if this can be Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit.

One interesting point - 

(i) pinnae 1.3-3.8 cm long in Acacia leucophloea (Roxb.) Willd. - http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=5&taxon_id=250063323

(ii) pinnae 5 - 10 (16) cm long in Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit. - http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=5&taxon_id=200012201
