Cirsium arvense (L.) Scop.
Syn: Breea arvensis (L.) Less.
The perennial species is very distinct in dioicious heads and often placed under separate genus as Breea arvensis, involucre bracts are appressed with slightly projecting often purple tips. Leaves are scarcely spiny.
