It was raining steadily by the time I found this orchid. The light was low and I had to ask my friend to hold an umbrella over me to protect the camera. The viewfinder was misting and the plant moving under droplets but I managed to take a few photos and hope these are enough to identify this. The black background is an open umbrella to stop the raindrops from moving the plant. Please advise.

I just realised that I did not share newer better photos of this orchid taken on my subsequent visits (including a small group at about 3500m). On 05 August, I found one ripening to translucent white and yet another (uprooted one without the roots) with seeds forming. Here are the results.

Yes these are Malaxis muscifera. People have been collecting them for medicinal use and the population has been going down drastically. None of the so called Chavanparash companies cultivate these, but if they really use it in their product, then where do they get these from?
Good to see that they are fruiting.
