All are Saccharum bengalense. The racemes of S.spontaneum are simple and unbranched, whereas S.bengalense has branched racemes looking like a panicle. S.spontaneum has silvery white inflorescence whereas S.bengalense has pinkish inflorescence turning white later on. S.spontaneum has a running growth whereas S.bengalense are found in thick clumps.
