You may be right

leaves 4-7 cm long, veins 8 pairs, corolla tube 2-2.5 cm long, fruit 1.5-2.5 cm long, purplish 
                 black when ripe, ellipsoid.................................................Carissa carandas
leaves 1-3.5 cm long, lateral veins 3-5 pairs, corolla tube 1-1.5 cm long, fruit 
                7-8 mm long, dull dark purple when ripe, globose................C. spinarum
