Sending picture of Sweet Alyssum - Shot at Chashmeshahi Gardens, Srinagar. Kashmir on 11th June 2009.
It is an annual, with pink or purple flowers commonly grown in gardens in cooler areas.

I hope the scientific name is Lobularia maritima (L.) Desv (syn. Alyssum maritimum)
