Kuruvadweepa, Waynad, Kerala, 11 49' 20.53 N,  76 05'40.05 E, 2352 feet


 

Habitat- garden/ urban/wild/type:

Wild, 

 

Plant Habit-tree/shrub/climber/herb:

 Tree, Island,  Kabini river bank

 

Height/length:

~30 feet,  Medium sized tree,

 

Leaves-type/shape/size:

Green, elliptical,

 

Inflorescence type /size:

 

-

 

Flowers-size/colour/calyx/bracts:

 

No flowers

 

Fruits type-shape/size/seeds:

 

~ Spheroid,  Bigger fruits - ~10cm, smaller one's - 2 cms 

 

Fragrance/odour/pollinator/uses  and so on:

All,

Botanical descriptions of the Diospyros malabarica   do agree ( Habitat, fruit and leaves). Could not validate fruit_calyx (reflexec), 8 pair of leaves from my pictures.
