Actually, I was confused with పుండు pundu, = ulcer, boil, sore, blister, etc.... I referred Telugu - English dictionary

Google Translate gives నీళ్ల neella = of water 

We can take it as aquatic, seems quite appropriate to habit and habitat of Bonnaya antipoda (Lindernia antipoda).

Thus నీళ్ల  పుండు seems to be making good sense; what are your thoughts?
