Abronia is an interesting genus (also shared by several species of lizards endemic to New World) of Family Nyctaginaceae native to New World. Here is Abronia latifolia, Yellow Sand-verbena clicked from coastal areas, roadsides along Seven-Miles Drive in California, December 30, 2017, The plant is characterised by umbellate flowerheads of golden yellow flowers, exhibits Psammophory an adaptation by which leaves and stem get covered by sands, saving plant from herbivores.
