Flora of India vol-3 published by BSI Kolkata P. Daniel & M. Chandrabose has written the account of Tiliaceae. This document (Daniel & Chandrabose, 1993) provides the key to all the Indian species of Grewia, their description, flowering- fruiting time and distribution in India and outside India (page 490-517).

I somehow missed the seeds photograph, with that I would say you are right about G. abutilifolia.
