Are we supposed to be looking at the almost leafless tree? It looks like Terminalia elliptica with lots of galls.

If this tree is in the same area, your other observation: https://groups.google.com/g/indiantreepix/c/CvbYJhb3W-s/m/RMnUgqeAAgAJ

might be the same, Terminalia elliptica. The bark could not be seen clearly in those photos.
