Dear All,
In response to Rashidaji's post of 3 September on Bauhinia photos:

Kenneth Greby,  Rani Bhagat and J.M. Garg correctly identified it as Bauhinia tomentosa.
I am attaching photos where petals are of yellow shade like B. tomentosa, but a central petal distinctly lack its trademark maroon marking.
Just to knock down the possibilities of B. acuminata, its photo is also included.
A comparative picture of B. acuminata, B. tomentosa and unknown Bauhinia might be of help.

I believe that this tree too is a light colorform of B. tomentosa, albeit one lacking the maroon-spotted petal. This is relatively uncommon here in the USA, but I have seen one such plant and heard of others like it.

Regards--
Ken Greby.
