of course that is Typha latifolia

A collage .......left side is Typha latifolia....midrib can be seen in leaf . Middle one Typha angustifolia . Probably rt one too . 
Both species are abundant in Surat .

Have to look at ground level , that is why rains come as hurdle . Cross section for sure , flowers I'll try .

As per details available in the image, id may be correct as leaves look broad and the cross- section of the leaf also appears close as per keys in Flora of Pakistan.
Pl. confirm.
