Dear friends,
... well armed, and dense bush, large enough to look like a small tree.
Two guesses: some species of Capparis OR Flacourtia ... may be none of these.
ID please

Habitat : semi-evergreen forest
Type : gradual slope

: not sure, looks like a shrub, could be a straggler, with robust branches, armed with recurved spines (looks as if the spines are in position of fallen leaves)
Height : about 3 m
Length : ¿ not a climber ?

Shape : ovate, obtuse at both ends
Size : not sure, about 4 - 6 cm x 3 - 5 cm

Yes Dineshji,
The shrub is Scutia myrtina. The fruits are edible.
